garlic scape hummus

Our CSA has been both gratifying and frustrating. I'm not a lettuce lover, and we get an abundance every week. However, I do love all the new things we get to try. I'd never had turnips or garlic scapes or bok choy before. And now we love them all. Here's a recipe for garlic scape hummus that was in our newsletter this week. I fixed it tonight and it's really delicious. YUM.

Garlic Scape Hummus
(from www.dakotagarlic.com)
2 cans garbanzo beans, drained
1 cup sesame seeds
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup fresh chopped garlic scapes

Place the ingredients in a blender on high until a thick paste forms.
