different boys
My boys are so very different. Ted is an athlete, always testing his strength, endurance and everything else he encounters. He loves to build with Legos and K'Nex, to draw monsters, dragons and Pokemon. Then there is Sam. Sam biked a LOT today, with enthusiasm and without complaining. He stopped at every single electricity box to examine it (did it say "No Touching" or "No Digging"?) He spent hours today exploring the little pond on Ole's walk. Shoes off, pants rolled up, stick in hand, he poked, threw, squished, and waded. His birthday is coming up and I can't think of a thing to get him. He doesn't gravitate towards toys, but rather to experiences. Both boys play imaginatively, one with toys and one without. It's so interesting. Ted is fearless; Sam is cautious. Ted is reckless; Sam is careful. Both love to swim, love to bike, love to read, love to wrestle. They are lucky to have each other. Because while they are so similar in their interests, they express themselves so differently. Love you, kiddos!

How lucky can you be? Two terrific boys, and so different. They will have so much to give one another, as time goes by. And what a lucky little girl Mae is, to have two brothers like these!
See you soon!
