Holy Gummi Bears, Batman

Sam is having a tough day. It still hurts to pee but we've had success in the bathtub at least. We stopped off at Wild Oats to pick up some supplements that my friend Lisa recommended. So now, besides all 3 kids' daily doses of Multi-Vitamin & Mineral Supplement, Fruit & Veggie Bears Supplement, and strawberry-flavored cod liver oil, Sam is also getting a dose of Yummi Bears Fiber (to help with the constipation that his meds are creating) as well as up to 4 doses a day of CranActin Cranberry Chewables, for a healthy urinary tract. He thinks all of this is pretty cool, but is not pleased with his 3 official meds, of course. He is taking a good nap now and Ted and I just returned from the ice skating rink. Rachel is having her birthday party there so we thought we'd give it a go, since neither of us have ice skated before. It was a blast! They had cones for the kids to push around and Ted was a maniac-he loved it. I even got the hang of it after about 20 minutes. We're going to go again on Tuesday morning. Way fun. Who knew?

Hi!

I found your blog through a link on the Colorado Compact group :) We live pretty close and I have young kids too (mine are 5 and 3). We're also vegetarian. :)

Anyways, I thought I'd comment because my kids were taking YummiBears too, and there was an article on them recently that they had way more Vitamin A than is recommended AND more than their label said (over 200% more!) That's such a scary one to risk overdose on. I thought you might like the link:

We've been using the animal vitamins from the health food store for a few months because they have the greens in them. I was still pretty disappointed to see the Yummi Bears on the list of vitamins that were dishonestly labeled :(
