the only way to cook with kids

This idea comes to mothers everywhere courtesy of Vicki at Vegan Vice. I tried this out today while Nava's Spring Vegetable Soup (Vegetarian Soups for All Seasons) simmered on the stove. Sam and I were busy whipping up our favorite spelt biscuits (VeganLunchBox) and I needed to keep Mae occupied (she is a terror around flour!) Ted was watching Star Wars but got sucked into the fun of scooping and pouring. Sam stayed on task and helped me cut the biscuits. It was a yummy, comforting dinner for a cold and rainy evening.
