Spending time together as a family has previously meant a two-day drive to the Midwest to visit our parents. This year, we decided to take a family vacation together. Camping, hiking, s'mores, soccer, visiting ruins, swimming ... all the trappings of a fantastic family vacation. With vacation comes the slow but steady realization that the kids really can get along. Paul and I can have conversations that don't include event planning or child-driven activities. It's a beautiful thing.
