What a beautiful night. We fixed latkes for the last night of Hanukkah and oyster soup for the New Year. After lighting the menorah the kids opened their last presents, which they both loved. They played happily for an hour or so, then bath and bed. It is completely peaceful here at 7:30pm. For the first day of the year, this one was lovely.

a peaceful night
What a beautiful night. We fixed latkes for the last night of Hanukkah and oyster soup for the New Year. After lighting the menorah the kids opened their last presents, which they both loved. They played happily for an hour or so, then bath and bed. It is completely peaceful here at 7:30pm. For the first day of the year, this one was lovely.
